How To Around The World

This is a skill that you should really only look to try to pull off once you’re feeling confident with the ball at your feet. In order to carry it out, you need to be able to flick the ball up to begin with, so if that isn’t something that you’ve mastered yet, then it’s worth going back and ensuring that you’ve got it nailed. That is because the Around the World starts with a flick up, so if you can’t do that consistently, then the entire trick falls apart. Once you’ve done it consistently, however, you can then progress to the next point, which involves taking your foot and moving it all around the ball whilst it’s in the air.

Once your foot is back in its original position, your next job is to catch the ball with the same foot. It is a move that looks really impressive, but can also be used to completely bamboozle your opposite number. If they try to go in for a tackle, then they’re going to end up fouling you the majority of the time, such is the extent to which your feet are moving so quickly, whilst also working to protect the ball. Once the ball is back on your original foot, you’ve then got a wealth of options open to you in terms of what you can choose to do next to help your team out as much as possible.

Because the opposition player can’t really try to tackle you without giving away a free-kick, you should be well placed to be able to pick a piss to a teammate or even just go on a run yourself with the ball. As mentioned, though, this is as much about what it teaches you for the rest of your game as anything else. It is all about having control of your body, as well as mastering your balance to the point that you can do plenty of different things on one leg. The control that comes with the ball in this trick is something that will allow you to do any number of other vital skills on a football pitch.
